Wage Range: $11.75-12.75/hour

Purpose of the Position: Works closely with Flaten Art Museum (FAM) Director and Curator to support exhibition planning, communications and outreach, and website content management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produces dynamic visual and written web content that advance FAM's mission and vision, and maintains and manages web content using WordPress
• Assists the Director with day-to-day tasks of recordkeeping, filing, calendaring and correspondence
• Records visitor attendance, class visits, and maintains FAM mailing list
• Supports special event set-up and staffing, and attends FAM functions
• Provides assistance with marketing and outreach
• Assists with curricular collaborations to enhance exhibition and collection engagement

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

• Detail oriented, self-motivated, initiates tasks without being asked
• Strong writing skills
• Experience with Excel, Word, Photoshop, WordPress

Physical and Environmental Factors: This position requires crouching, kneeling/crawling, stooping, twisting/pivoting, climbing/balancing, reaching overhead, grasping/handling, pushing/pulling, lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs., and operating hand tools to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise, chemicals, vibrations, proximity hazards, and heights or cramped quarters, as well as rare exposure to respiratory factors and wet or humid conditions indoors to perform the essential functions. Protective equipment is required for some essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
