Title: Computer Lab Proctor

FLSA: Full Time - Exempt

Reports To: Principal

SALARY RANGE: Per district scale for Instructional Assistants

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: (182 days)

Overview:


To assist in the supervision and instruction of students assisting in performing their academic studies.

Job Description:


Proctor is responsible for supervising the classroom to ensure that everyone follows the rules, and no one is cheating. Proctors have various duties which take place before, during, and after the learning activity, tests, and other classroom-structured assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a two-year degree, 60 hours of college credit, or a passing score on the Para Pro Test. A four-year degree in education is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prefer prior work with children
• Knowledge of computers
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Working Conditions:


Computer Lab environment with little exposure to environmental conditions. Physical demands are restricted to computer lab activities requiring the movement/lifting of items weighing up to twenty-five pounds.


Physical Demands:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is continuously interacting with the public, staff, and students. The employee frequently must meet multiple demands from several people. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand. The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Occasionally the employee must use hand/grip strength to operate office equipment.
