We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and reliable Fence Installation Crew Leader / Foreman to join our team in Lafayette, IN. In this role, you will not only work on-site installing high-quality fencing but also lead, manage, and motivate a field crew to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and up to our company’s high standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, extensive fence installation or construction experience, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Crew Leadership: Supervise, train, and direct a 2–3 person installation crew on-site, ensuring daily productivity goals are met.
• Project Layout & Execution: Read blueprints or work orders, layout and stake out fence lines accurately, and oversee the complete installation process from digging to finishing.
• Quality Control: Inspect work in progress and upon completion to guarantee exact alignment, structural integrity, and top-tier craftsmanship.
• Safety Enforcement: Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring all crew members follow safety protocols and properly use PPE and equipment.
• Client & Shop Communication: Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients to answer questions and resolve issues; communicate daily project status updates back to management.
• Resource Management: Ensure company trucks are properly loaded with necessary materials and tools each morning, and manage job site cleanup at the end of the day.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in fence installation (wood, vinyl, chain-link, aluminum) or a related construction/landscaping foreman role.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage a team, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain crew morale.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75lbs, perform strenuous physical labor, and work outdoors in all weather conditions alongside your crew.
• Requirements: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required to drive company crew trucks.

Compensation will be based on experience and all team members with Get Fenced receive a profit share bonus on all jobs.
