We are seeking a talented R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of excellence.

Position Overview: As an R&D Engineer you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of new technologies and equipment in protein processing. Your expertise will help us innovate and improve our product offerings, ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our customers in the protein processing sector.

• Conduct research to identify trends and advancements in protein processing technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and marketing, to bring products from concept to market.
• Utilize your experience and knowledge in areas such as: Servo design, Motion design, Electrical design, Control design, Automation, Belt conveyor design, Pumping systems, Patents, Metric and US standards, Performance Level safety, OSHA safety, CE certification, Risk assessments, Low voltage AC motors, NEAM and IP ratings, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Sanitary design, Vacuum systems, Meat grinding, Meat mixing, Stainless steel design, Platform design
• Perform testing and validation of prototypes, analyzing performance and making necessary improvements.
• Document findings and prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the troubleshooting and optimization of existing equipment, providing technical expertise to resolve issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes impacting the protein processing sector.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering,
• 3+ years of experience in R&D engineering, preferably in food processing or capital equipment.
• Strong knowledge of food processing systems, particularly in the protein sector, a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for equipment design and modeling.
• Working Knowledge of at many of the knowledge areas specified in the position overview.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards (e.g., USDA, FDA).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience having previously developed or worked on patents a plus.
• Willingness to travel for equipment installations and customer support as needed.
