Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time special education teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year is based in Dayton, OH, serving K-12 students with diverse learning needs. The role focuses on working with students across all grades (K-5, 6-8, and 9-12) and requires expertise in special education, including experience with dyslexia intervention. Caseloads vary from moderate to profound based on the candidates experience and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs
• Provide specialized instruction in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Support students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities across grades K-12
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and administrators, to enhance student outcomes
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Engage with families to support student growth and learning needs

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching license in special education
• Demonstrated experience with pediatric populations in school settings
• Skilled in addressing a range of disabilities from moderate to profound
• Knowledge and experience working with students diagnosed with dyslexia
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
