Overhead Crane Operator

We're seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Operator to safely operate cranes and heavy equipment, lifting and moving materials across job sites. In this role, you'll help keep projects on schedule while maintaining high safety standards. This is a great opportunity to apply your equipment operation experience and construction knowledge in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment with precision and safety awareness
• Rig loads securely using appropriate rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting operations
• Handle materials efficiently within construction sites, warehouses, or shipping & receiving areas
• Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to identify potential issues before use
• Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure smooth workflow
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
• Assist with warehouse activities such as shipping & receiving, inventory management, and load securing when needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating cranes and heavy machinery in construction or industrial settings
• Mechanical knowledge of crane systems, rigging techniques, and general heavy equipment maintenance
• Valid commercial driver's license with endorsements for operating heavy vehicles such as boom trucks or forklifts
• Hands-on experience with materials handling, shipping & receiving processes, and warehouse operations
• Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to perform rigging tasks confidently and accurately
• Experience working on construction sites or with heavy equipment like excavators, backhoes, or forklifts is highly preferred
