No Offer Description Candidate Requirements Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements: A Master's degree in Ethnology or Ethnology and cultural anthropology Knowledge of the ethnography of Poland and ethnographic archival studies Experience in conducting ethnographic research and working with archival and other secondary research sources A record of scholarly achievement, evidenced by academic publications and active participation in academic conferences Documented teaching experience in the field of Ethnology and cultural anthropology As the position involves teaching in Polish, native or near-native proficiency in spoken and written Polish is required A declaration of willingness to undertake full-time employment at the University of Łódź, with the University serving as the applicant's primary place of employment Desirable Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate: Experience in participating in research projects Qualifications in archival science and records management The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Strong organisational and time-management skills A commitment to the continuous development of their research and teaching competences Candidates must satisfy the legal requirement of having no criminal record for offences specified in Chapters XIX and XXV of the Polish Criminal Code, Articles 189a and 207 of the Polish Criminal Code, and the Act of 29 July 2005 on Counteracting Drug Addiction (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1939), or for equivalent offences as defined under the laws of other countries. Scope of Duties Teaching Responsibilities Deliver teaching within the annual teaching load established by the Senate of the University of Łódź for full-time degree programmes, including teaching delivered through distance-learning methods and technologies Prepare and maintain all study-related documentation required of academic staff in a timely manner Conduct student assessments and award course credits for the classes taught Supervise students' coursework and semester assignments Prepare teaching materials for the courses delivered Hold regular consultation hours for students Maintain high standards of teaching quality and ensure compliance with the University's internal quality assurance system for education Perform other teaching duties assigned by the immediate supervisor Research Responsibilities Conduct and participate in scientific research Seek external research funding by applying for competitive research grants Disseminate research findings through scholarly publications Actively participate in academic conferences and research seminars Contribute to the transfer and commercialisation of research results in collaboration with external stakeholders Pursue continuous professional development, including activities leading to the attainment of further academic degrees and academic titles Organisational Responsibilities Participate in the work of the University's collegial bodies and serve on faculty, Senate, and Rector-appointed committees Organise and participate in activities promoting the University Contribute to the organisation of academic conferences, seminars, and other scholarly events Undertake organisational activities that support the effective functioning of the University and contribute to the enhancement of the quality of education and research Perform other organisational duties assigned by the immediate supervisor Candidate Documents Candidates are requested to submit the following documents to the Faculty of Philosophy and History, University of Lodz, ul. A copy of the Master's degree diploma 5. Information on the applicant's research, teaching, and organisational achievements, including a list of academic publications 6. A declaration confirming the applicant's willingness to undertake full-time employment at the University of Łódź, with the University serving as their primary place of employment 7. The declarations set out in Annexes 1 and 2 to the Standards for the Protection of Minors in force at the University of Łódź 8. A signed acknowledgement of the information regarding the processing of personal data for job applicants.
