Physical Requirements Walking for extended periods of time; Lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 lbs.; sitting/ walking/standing for long periods of time; handling intermittent periods of high levels of stress.
Shift This position requires an average commitment of five days per week (37.5 hours per week). Work hours will generally fall within one of the following shifts:
- Evening/Overnight: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Overnight/Early Morning: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
Shifts may be assigned on any day of the week, including weekends. Occasional daytime assignments may be required to meet operational needs.
The position requires availability to work some holidays and during university breaks, including winter, spring, and summer sessions. Employees in this role must also be flexible and available to report to work on short notice during weather-related or emergency university closures.

Responsibilities include: - Patrolling and monitoring buildings and greenhouses
- Responding to alarms, incidents, or suspicious activity
- Documenting observations through a digital log
- Coordinating with campus police, facilities staff, and college personnel
- Performing lock-up/lock-down procedures and equipment checks.
The role demands strong observational skills, the ability to work independently, remain alert during overnight hours, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with frequent walking, standing, and climbing during the shift, plus the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Security work, able to work various hours, especially weekends and/or weekday evenings. Some holidays and during university breaks. Flexibility to report during weather related or emergency university closures
