Job Description
Optician needed for newly expanded, updated Optical Department in a busy 3 doctor optometric office. Custom designed displays feature the latest frames and lenses, as well as a selection for all price points. This upbeat office has great co-workers and well-respected doctors in a team orientated atmosphere. Greater Milford Eye Associates is open 4.5 days a week, closed on Mondays. Benefits include paid time off, holiday pay, vacation and sick time, very generous retirement plan with 401K option, as well as a covered eye exam with glasses or contacts each year.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assist patient with frame and lens selection
Measure, fit, repair, adjust, inspect and dispense glasses
Accurately order eyeglasses and contacts, applying insurance where necessary
Communicate effectively with optical labs about orders and changes
Respectfully respond to patient questions and calls regarding orders
Meet with frame reps for the latest styles and information
Maintain optical inventory
Maintain the look of the Optical Area, including numerous displays
