Accountable Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team of healthcare professionals providing high-quality respiratory care across leading healthcare and medical services facilities nationwide. As a travel RRT, you will deliver bedside respiratory therapy in a variety of acute and critical care settings, including medical-surgical units, step-down, emergency departments, and intensive care units, depending on assignment needs. Working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. In this role, you will perform comprehensive respiratory assessments, administer and manage oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and noninvasive and invasive ventilatory support, and respond to rapid response and code situations as required by the facility. You will set up and operate ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment, adjust settings based on patient status and physician orders, and document all interventions accurately in the electronic medical record. You will also obtain and interpret arterial blood gases, perform pulmonary hygiene therapies, and educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and disease management. As a travel professional with Accountable Healthcare Staffing, you will complete travel assignments at renowned hospitals and healthcare organizations, adapting quickly to new clinical environments, protocols, and care teams. You will be responsible for adhering to facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements, while upholding evidence-based respiratory care practices and patient safety. Assignments may vary in length and location, providing opportunities to broaden your clinical experience while exploring new cities and communities.
